We have a thriving Junior Golf section at Robin Hood focused on developing boys and girls of all ages and ability. We recognise the future of our Club is in our Junior golfers. Are you an aspiring golfer? We will teach you, coach and improve your game, and give you lots of fun in the fresh air. Our aim is to encourage participation and nurture a life-long love of this wonderful game.
Academy coaching and journey to membership
Junior Golf
The strength of our Junior section comprising boy and girl golfers aged 12-18 reflects the approach we have taken in the Academy which has produced some very capable young golfers who now continue to develop their golf game as Juniors.
We run Junior group coaching sessions on Saturdays and encourage the juniors to play golf together out on the course. We have numerous Junior golf competitions during the year open to boys and girls including many in the school holidays, matchplay knockouts, a Junior Club Championship and our very well attended Robin Hood Junior Open. Once our Junior golfers have a suitable handicap they are also able and encouraged to participate in many of the adult golf competitions as well.
We also run girls group coaching sessions and games, with the objective of encouraging more girl golfers to continue to play the game into their teens and beyond. We have a strong Junior golf league team and have several Junior players from the Club representing Warwickshire County in both the Boys and Girls teams at various ages.
